Type locality of nominate species: Sweden.
Worldwide distribution: Morocco, W. Algeria, Europe, Lebanon, Palaearctic Region to North Kazakhstan,
Mongolia NW and NW China.
Subspecies in Norway: M.c.cinxia.

Distribution in Norway: Restricted to areas around the Oslofjord.
